  • Prime location near Sagrada Família — The basilica is about a 5-minute walk away, with a metro station close by for exploring the rest of Barcelona.
  • Privacy in shared dorms — Each bunk comes with a curtain, as well as individual lights and power outlets, giving dorm guests their own space.
  • Helpful, attentive staff — Guests repeatedly mention staff going out of their way—drawing maps, recommending restaurants, and helping with transport.
  • Good value for the area — With a Value rating of 8.6 and a price point that matches the quality, guests feel they get what they pay for.
  • Clean and secure facilities — Daily housekeeping, key card access, lockers, and smoke detectors contribute to a safe and tidy environment.

Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • Limited room types — Only three dormitory options are offered, with no private rooms, so solo travellers and groups share the same format.
  • Bathroom lighting could be better — While bathrooms are clean and spacious, a few guests found the lighting insufficient.
  • Check-out window is narrow — Check-out is between 08:00 and 10:00, which might feel rushed if you have a late morning.
  • No pets allowed — Travellers with pets will need to look elsewhere, as the hostel does not accept them.

“Amazing experience. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety—sandwiches, fruits, cereal, ham, sausage. Staff were nice and helpful, especially Hiro, who drew maps and even offered to accompany me to the bus stop and tell the driver where I needed to get off. Jeane provided detailed transport info and great recommendations for tapas and paella spots. Excellent service made my first youth hostel stay a positive one. I hope to come back to Barcelona.”
